Youth at Fox Valley

Each year, WYSO membership tuition covers less than 30% of WYSO’s overall expenses. Thus, we rely on donations to maintain quality artistic and educational experiences for our participants. Please consider making a contribution to one of the following WYSO projects.

General Fund/Greatest Need
Artistic and administrative salaries, sectional coaches, music purchases and rentals, tour expenses, and office supplies are all supported by the General Fund.

Tuition Scholarships
As the major goal of the scholarship initiative, WYSO strives to offer all youth with desire and aptitude the opportunity to learn about music and to develop musically in the WYSO Orchestral Program regardless of financial status. The scholarship program supplements the cost of tuition for students who require financial assistance.

Private Lessons Scholarship Program
The Private Lessons Scholarship Program is an ongoing WYSO scholarship initiative that offers economically challenged students with musical talent, desire and devotion an opportunity to further their musical education through private study. The scholarship program supplements the cost of music lessons for students who qualify for financial assistance.

Chamber Music Ensembles
More than one-third of WYSO students participate in small ensembles each year. In this more intimate setting, WYSO musicians are encouraged to refine musicianship and to further develop performance and leadership skills. Ensemble opportunities include the Brass, Percussion and Harp Ensembles, as well as string quartets and wind quintets.
