WYSO is pleased to announce the Winners and Honorable Mention recipients of the 2005-2006 WYSO Concerto Competitions:

Winners of the Youth Orchestra and Philharmonia competitions will have the honor of performing their concerto with their respective orchestras at the WYSO Spring Concert in May. All Honorable Mention recipients are invited to perform in the Youth Honors Recital, April 7 at 7:00pm, at the Oakwood Village West Auditorium.

WYSO is also pleased to announce that the winner of the 2006 Murphy Family Interlochen Scholarship is Akornefa Akyea. She will receive a scholarship and letter of recommendation to attend the Interlochen Summer Camp. The scholarship runner-up is Sam Livingston.
