Sinfonietta was formed in 1993 and performs various levels of string orchestra literature from standard middle school (class C) to high school (class A) level. Members of Sinfonietta should have at least three years of private study or school string experience, along with some ensemble playing. String educator Mr. Mark Leiser, from the Watertown School District, conducts the orchestra. Sinfonietta rehearses Saturday mornings from 10 AM to 12:30 PM. Sinfonietta holds 3 concerts throughout the season and performs for area schools during their annual one-day tour. Auditions for membership are held each Spring.
